Problem with video quality when video is embedded in PowerPoint

Hi - I have an AVI file that I have embedded into a PowerPoint 2010 presentation, that when the presentation gets to and starts playing the video,  it's VERY choppy and audio is not syncing with video...yet if I play the exact same video outside of the PowerPoint, it plays perfectly! I don't know why this is happening -  Any help with this would be appreciated!

When you go to the File tab, do you have any options for optimize media or make media compatible? Try those first. If you have both options -- for compatibility and optimization, try compatibility first.

This is the fastest and most straightforward thing to try.

By the way, "compatibility" means compatible with other PCs because it will convert the video to a WMV.
