Printing Dymo Labels with Crystal Reports Results in Wrong Orientation
Attempts to print Dymo Label 30321 using crystal reports (version 2008 sp3) results in labels being printed in the wrong orientation. Setting printer orientation has no effect. "No Printer" option checked in Crystal and "Disassociate Formatting Page Size and Printer Paper Size" is also checked. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Have Dymo 450 Turbo printer set as default.
Does unchecking the NO PRINTER and DISSOCIATE options have any effect?

I am unable to create any usable label in Crystal reports that will work with a Dymo printer. The orientaion always defaults to portrait no matter what settings I use. Cannot even create a completely new label with correct orientation. I must be missing something here because I cannot believe Crystal wouldn't support Dymo printers.
I tried to install the printer driver but it needs to communicate to a dymo printer before completing the installation. Since I don't have one I can't install it or select it as the printer from Crystal.
Not sure unless there is something on their site about Crystal

We actually purchased a Dymo labeler, received on 4/21/15 and installed. Crystal recognizes printer but whether we associate, no associate, make report printer dependent or not try custom label sizes, etc. still does not create correct label and after setting the correct label in Crystal after performing a print preview Crystal changes label back to the wrong size label.
It may be that Crystal doesn't play well with that printer. It may be too new.
You might need to install a later SP for CR2008 or upgrade to a later version of Crystal.

I have downloaded and installed Crystal Reports 2008 sp 7 however when I run CR 2008 the build number indicates it is still on sp3. What am I missing?

I eventually was able to get SAP to post the link to update the Crystal Reports application to sp7. This is a sequential service pack so it must be updated 3,4,5,6,7.
ASKER
Installing latest service pack (7) did solve issue and actually SAP support was very good IMHO.
