I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This shows you the bare skeleton. Change where needed:
public void CreateTimer()
{
    var _Timer = new System.Timers.Timer(1000); // fire every 1 second
    _Timer.Elapsed += ReportEventHandler;
}

public void ReportEventHandler(object sender, ElapsedEventArgs e)
{
    // do whatever it is that you need to do on a timer
}

Open in new window

There is no equivalent _Timer..

The title of your post is to convert from C# to VB, but then you ask to "convert to C# please". There is a contradiction here.

If I understand correctly what you want to do, in VB it would be:

AddHandler _Timer.Elapsed, AddressOf _Timer_Elapsed

And since the Timer does not have an error event, I do not understand what you are trying to do with the second line.
