Not able to send emails with attachments on iPhone 6

I have a client that has a new iPhone 6 and can send and receive email of all kinds with no problems but, when he wants to send an email with a picture attached it does not sent. The iPhone actually makes the "Mail sent" tone but the mail never shows up.

This is an IMAP account and this problem only came up when he got his new iPhone.

The at attachments are approximately 35 KB so it should not be a size issue that is blocking the email. We can send those same emails from the desktop computer without issue. The emails do not show up in the outbox on the iPhone nor are they showing up on the email server.

I am at a bit of a loss because I am not an iPhone user but when comparing the settings on the iPhone to my Samsung I cannot see any differences.

I hope I have given enough information for you to help me solve this issue.
Thank you
Pat

Thank you for responding. With your help I actually managed to find the problem. There was a bad account listed in the SMTP settings and the iPhone was not showing that the emails were not being sent. I went to try and find missing emails in his sent mailbox. Once I figured out how to find the folders on an iPhone I found the outbox and lo and behold there they were sitting. (Even though my client said that they weren't in the outbox) once I got that sorted out I changed his outgoing SMTP information and the world is once again good.
While the solution provided by the expert was in not actually correct it did point me in the direction that I needed to go to solve the problem.
