Outlook 2013 Free/Busy Problem

I have Outlook 2013 and an issue started a few weeks ago where I am not able to view the free/busy info for others when scheduling meetings.  If I go into Control Panel - Mail - Email Accounts  and do a repair immediately before going into Outlook then it works.  However, if I exit out, and go back in, it is broke again.  Our exchange server is local and it is an Exchange 2010 Server.  Any ideas?

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

Does it works through OWA. There is an already resolved case in expert-exchange for the same. However it for Out-of-office message however i suspect this might be the issue. There is an hotfix available for Outlook 2013. See if it helps.

In Exchange 2010 Free/Busy is retrieved using Exchange Web Services (EWS). You need to make sure that this is working properly and also you have the correct URL for this.

As stated already a good test would be to see if it works in OWA. If it does then there is something wrong with EWS. Does this happen for all user, or just this mailbox?

It works fine in OWA.   And it appears to only be on my computer.

If this is only affecting you machines try the following..
- when you open Outlook hold crtl+right click the Outlook icon in the system tray and select Test Email Auto Config make sure that you are pointing to the correct URL for EWS

- If your URL is correct then you might want to start outlook in safemode (outlook.exe /safe)
- Try Outlook in Online mode (non cached exchange mode)
- Re-create the Outlook profile on your computer
- Try your account on a different machine and see if you get the same issue. If you don't I think it is likely to be the Windows Profile issue.

Try those suggestions and report back.

Will.
