SSRS 2008 Drilldown Issue

I can get report to open with drilldowns showing,  and when I click on the +, this report works properly and shows me 1 or 2 new rows.

Now, when I run report again to show all drilldowns as all open -, the report comes back with all +, and when I click on the + no new rows appear.

I have a parameter called Expand to control the drilldown options

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Does the sample report I've attached here do what you need? You'll need to update the data source so it point to your SQL Server to use this report.

It has a parameter @Expand that controls if all the values are expanded or not when the report runs. This is done by using the 'Row Visibility' of the Descr row. 'Show or hide based on an expression' is set to:
=not Parameters!Expand.Value
And the 'Display can be toggled by this..' is set to 'id'.

But then the id field will always contain a '+' when the report runs. To control this you need to set the 'InitialToggleState' of the id field to:
=Parameters!Expand.Value
This property is not in the propery dialog but in the property window (you can open that window with F4 if it's not visible).
