look in your hosts file
i found this :  from : https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/ff2f2f94-4151-4b4d-99e3-22a14c4ea2c9/an-unrecognized-http-response-was-received-when-attempting-to-crawl-this-item-verify-whether-the?forum=sharepointsearch
I found out that the AutoSPInstaller that I used to install my SP farm with (after I had edited it extensively) had added some lines to my hosts file (find it in c:\windows\system32\Drivers\etc\) that basically told my server that every one of my four web applications redirected to 127.0.0.1

i hope it helps

Have you tried to reset the index and rebuild it again?  Note, that rebuilding the index can take some time.

I made some mods to the DNS that may affect the remote.marathon certificate. I will let you know soon if that corrects the errors.

For us, it seemed to be taking the address that we gave it, http://sharepoint.oursite.com and rejecting it at the time of crawling as “LoopBackRequest”.

In order to fix this issue, I went to the registry editor and “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa

I create a new 32bit DWORD value named “DisableLoopbackCheck” with a value of  "1″

After you close the registry and start to crawl the content you will no longer see the issue.
