Lightroom 5.7 Mac running on an iMac with 10.9.5<br />

Suddenly the ability to import photos has disappeared.<br />
The import menu item and the import button are both grayed out.<br />
<br />
I cleared the caches, repaired permissions, restarted Lightroom, restarted the computer.<br />
<br />
Any known reason for this, and suggested repair?<br />

Lightroom 5.7 Mac Has Lost Import Function
