Forward an incomming call 'record' (i.e. phone number) to an email

I need an easy way to create an email from an incoming call log number.

Something like, "call this person back" is all I really need.

Assistance is greatly appreciated.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That is a slick app also.  I am installing it now.  It will send missed sms messages and missed calls to email automatically, which is GREAT!

What I am looking for is a way to selectively forward the record of the last call or even an identified contact to an email for later follow-up.

This is what the https://www.twilio.com/ api is meant for.

There is a helper library for java https://www.twilio.com/docs/java/install

What you will want to do is intercept the phone call via the api, use your java (or server side programming) to send out an alert with the specific information you want.

I was looking for something I could install on my phone and be done with it.  I don't really want to program something for this.

I use google voice via hangouts.  My calls all roll over to to my cell phone.  I can go to google voice and see the complete history of all my phone calls.  If somebody leaves a message it is recorded and saved.  I can forward the recording.  In hangout's I can sms, email or call back.  This works seamlessly within all my devices, laptops, desktops, phone.

There are also a number of cloud voip services that have web based software and apps that can do this for you http://www.ringcentral.com/office/business-voip-phone.html

Ok, that's a good option.  It is not a google voice number but you are saying just install google hangouts or google voice?

Yes.

I started with google voice https://www.google.com/voice/?setup=1#setup/ and then migrated to google hangouts http://www.google.com/+/learnmore/hangouts/

I think Google is trying to get everyone to hangouts, I personally was very happy using voice.
