Keyboard typing wrong characters can't enter password to login to computer

I have a windows 8 computer, and it started typing the wrong characters.  For example when I hit "q" it types "Q0 a"; exactly like that. Is there any way to fix it.  I read elsewhere that I have to change the language settings, but I made the mistake of rebooting the computer, and now I can't enter my password to login. What should I do? Please help. Thanks in advance.

Try to chnage the language by pressing Left Alt+Left Shift and try password.
Right bottom you can see the language in use.

Plug in a USB keyboard and see if that gets you in. If so, replace the keyboard (there is usually no driver for a keyboard).

This doesn't look like a wrong language setting of your OS. If the language setting were wrong, you'd get one wrong character per key, and not several. It looks much more like the keyboard itself is either bad or not connected to the PC properly. Maybe there are stuck keys.

As thinkpad's already mentioned, try replacing the keyboard. If it is a laptop, then that may not help, as the original keyboard is still connected. You'd have to first remove the laptop keyboard.

One more thing you could try, is to clean your current keyboard. Remove it from the PC, then clean it with a vacuum cleaner. Also press every key and check if the keys feel normally to your touch.

I suggest you try resetting the password using my article if you have windows media. This is for Windows7 it is applicable for Windows8 as well. While typing make sure you see what you type in keyboard.
