Need more help with Outlook 10

Hi, I am having a problem creating email accounts in Outlook 10.  At one time I created an account at google named CAMXDL@gmail.com.  I subsequently deleted the account before I started using it but apparently I didn't do a very good job of deleting it.  Please look at Pic 1.  Any attempt at creating a new email account produces the result of adding CAMXDL to the account.  I don't know why it's doing this and I would like to prevent it from happening.  Can someone give me a hand please? I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

First, you cannot delete a default account.

However, we have been here a couple of times with this Outlook installation.

Do the following.

Close Outlook.
Go to c:\users\cm\appdata\.... and find and make sure and certain backups of ALL PST files.
Go to c:\users\My Documents\... and fine and make sure and certain backups of all PST files.
Go to Control Panel, Mail and DELETE ALL Outlook Profiles.

Restart the computer.

Go to Control Panel, Mail, and set up ONE Outlook Profile.

Open Outlook. There should be NO accounts. Make ONE only email account and set it up. It will be default.

In the main Outlook windows, left side tree, there should be just one main folder.

Verify all this is true and then Import mail from the backed up PST files.

Please let us  know.

Well you sure know your stuff.  I had forgotten to go to email in control panel, that's where the problem was.  Everything is working fine now and I hope I don't ever have to post another Outlook question.  Many thanks.
