Problem to play mp4 file

Hi,

I cannot play the mp4 file on the page, using these codes

    <video width="420" height="330" controls autoplay>
          <source src="<%= ResolveUrl("~/../pict/MOV00C.mp4") %>" type="video/mp4" >
          Play the video.
    </video>

while the .mp4 file does exist within the folder.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you have the correct doctype?
<!DOCTYPE html>

<html lang="en">
    <head>
        <meta charset="utf-8" />
        <title>Across the Pacific</title>
    </head>
    <body>
        <video width="420" height="330" controls autoplay>
          <source src= "AcrossthePacific-1.mp4" type="video/mp4" >
          Your Browser Does Not Support the Video tag.
    </video>

chrome most definitely supports html 5 and you are not using html 5 in your doctype you are using XHTML 1.0 Transitional .. change your doctype to simply <!DOCTYPE html>  which is a different dialect of html
