Was this RDM working correctly before, and was it formatted with NTFS, if Windows ?

Vcenter 5.5 esxi 5.1 <br />

Trying to migrate a VM that has a RDM disk but i get the following error:<br />
<br />
Virtual disk 'hard disk 3' is a mapped direct-access LUN that is not accesible. In order to proceed with the operation, the targets disk's datastore and format must be different than that of the source disk. Unable to access file ds:///vfms.......vmdk<br />
<br />
I have tried detaching - migrating to other host and then reattching but I can initialise the disk.
