exchange problem with sending pictures

Hi Experts,

in my company all mailbox users can access their emails via mobile.
A lot of them have to send pictures via mobile or tab to the company.
But all pictures are cut at 1MB.

I have checked all server settings and active sync settings but I cannot find the limitation.
Can you help me to find this problem ?

Are you able to send bigger picture attachment directly from mail client like Outlook or Web interface ?

Hi There,

It could possibly be the MaxAttachmentSize limit on the activesync configuration.
Check it with
Get-ActiveSyncMaiboxPolicy <PolicyName> | select MaxAttachmentSize

If Not that are you using an MDM (Mobile Device Management) service? Like GFE, Airwatch , Mobile Iron etc? In that case it is probably a policy setting.

Problems using Powershell and Active Directory?

Managing Active Directory does not always have to be complicated.  If you are spending more time trying instead of doing, then it's time to look at something else. For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why

The command :
Get-ActiveSyncMaiboxPolicy <PolicyName> | select MaxAttachmentSize

The result:
MaxAttachmentSize
-----------------
unlimited

the MDM software is not in use.
Just the exchange can wipe or lock mobile email accounts

Does the user have a max Size limit on their mailbox? I would be checking this if this is only affecting 1 or a couple of users.

- EMC
- User Mailbox Properties
- Mail Flow Tab
- MEssage Size Restrictions

Will.

Try to send for example pdf file bigger then 1MB from mobile. Then go to the server Activesync users are contacting and look in IIS log file (%windir%/logfiles) for more info.

OK, you say they are being cut? rather than rejected?

Look at these settings please... they should also be unlimited...

Get-ActiveSyncMaiboxPolicy <PolicyName> | select MaxAttachmentSize, MaxEmailBodyTruncationSize, MaxEmailHTMLBodyTruncationSize

The last two parameters are usually used to limit the amount of data synchronised with the device to save on data costs...

What I also found out is,

when I send a picture from an android mobile the picture is cut at 1MB.
But when I send the same picture from an IOS device nothing is cut.
Strange or ?
