Display distorted in VMWare Fusion on Mac

Running a Macbook with OS X Yosemite (10.10.2) with VMware Fusion Professional version 6.0.5 running Windows 8 virtual machine.  Not sure what's going on but the display is just distorted and all over the place for apps and IE.  Can't really figure it out...It's not the websites either as I can see them fine on another Macbook (same version of Yosemite and VMware Fusion).  See attachments to see what I mean.  Any ideas?

Attached is another screenshot with a better representation...

So you're saying that VMware Tools is causing this and needs to be uninstalled?

Unbelievable, I never would have thought of that.  Uninstalled vmware tools and now the display is fine for IE and other programs.  I thought having vmware tools installed HELPS?!?!
