asked on
back up of users
on windows domain users of a enterprise which has 6000 users , how to back individual users data backup automatically and weekly
Do you mean local data on PCs?
Or User-Objects in your ActiveDirectory-DB?
Normally with such a user count I would try to keep the users own Data away from local PCs (for example folder redirection or other policy)

ASKER
local data on PCs.
I would then create a script to copy the data from each users computer data folders to a network share
Create a gpo to run this script at shutdown and logoff times
You really should set up the save folders on all machines to a network share
The above will need a little work
Let us know if you need help with that

In a domain network they should all have a home directory which resides on a network share.
All user data documents spreadsheets etc should be saved there.
Then the normal backup procedure would backup the data.
If on the local computer that poses another concern.
1. loose a hard drive then the user looses all data. Not a good practice to keep company information on a local hard drive.
there are utilities or scripts can be written that will copy files/folders to a network share.
those scripts can be run on a timely basis you could setup something like rsync to do that process.
Many options.
