Help Desk Application

I am looking for a good, relatively inexpensive, cloud-based, help desk application. I have about 50 users that would access it.  Want a simple ticket generating and tracking system.  Any suggestions?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I use several products from the Zoho folks:

All of their products are cloud-based. One of their products is Zoho Support, which is a help desk product with a ticketing system:

They do have a Free version, but it has some limitations which may not work for you. If it doesn't, even their Professional version is reasonably priced:

Here's a comparison matrix for their three plans (Enterprise, Professional, Free):

In addition to being cloud-based, it has a customizable web portal and also a KnowledgeBase. Regards, Joe

OTRS is Open Source for hostable versions and they have a cloud version, youi can find some more about it, including a 30 day trial online at:

I haven't used zoho support that Joe suggested, but I have used some products from zoho, and they are a very good provider.

One other thought. The Spiceworks Help Desk Software is very popular:

I have seen it recommended highly during many threads here at EE. However, I installed another product from Spiceworks (their Network Monitoring Software) and did not like it, so I'd be skeptical of their Help Desk product (whereas I've liked everything from Zoho — especially their CRM product, which is fantastic). That said, based on the good reviews from other EE experts, you may want to put Spiceworks Help Desk on your short list.
