CRM Online 2015 Account Record update

I have imported All my accounts into our CRM Online 2015. There are around 100 accounts that do not have addresses.

I have added the columns so that when i exported the Accounts, it has all the necessay fields i want to update. I have modified all the records.

I need to import it back in now, but when i do, it fails, as the are duplicates.

How do Import the Records back in, but instead of trying to Create, just Update the existing records. The data in question all have a Unique Identifier, which is "AccountNumber"

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Ronak,

I have looked at this, but it not very clear. It explains what to do, but not how to do them

During the export process, in the export to Excel dialog select the option, Make this data available for re-importing by including required headings.

Then, in the exported file update the data as needed. Do not change the structure of the file, add new columns or unlock the security. Then import the file, CRM should detect that it was exported for re-import and offer the option to update existing records instead of creating new ones.
