Columns in outlook do stay set.

I have a user that is using Outlook 2010 and he has an issue where he looses his From column. He will make the change so that it is set but only to find that a few days later it happens again. The setting seems to carry with him at home as well. We use Exchange 2010 so I am wondering where this issue is coming from and how to keep it from happening?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

How is the user changing the columns?

Try using the Outlook View tab, go to View Settings and set the columns to use in View Settings. OK out of that. Then pull down Change View and select Apply View to other mail folders.

See if the settings hold changing it this way.

He is just dragging the columns the way he wants them. I found a hit for someone who suggested running Outlook. exe /cleanviews. I will try both options and see what helps.

That is what I thought. Use the proper column customization and it will likely stick. It does for me.
