OneDrive not seeing outlook contacts

Hi All;

I have a client that is trying to share One Drive folders with external users.  These users are not in the global address book, but they are in the clients local outlook contacts.  They are also in his contacts on office 365.

When he tries to share a one drive folder, and types in a persons name, he can only see the global addresses, and not his personal contacts.

Is there any solution, or a reasonable workaround for this?

I appreciate your help and thoughts.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Why does he need to see them? He can just type in the address, or use a guest link even. If he insists on having them visible in the menu, you can add them as mail users I guess.

Hi Vasil;

Thanks for your response.  I think the issue is that the client doesn't want to have to type in each email address individually.  I'm assuming that in sending a guest link, the client would still have to assign permissions to the users before creating the link.  Is that correct?
Vasil Michev (MVP)Commented:
Yup, permissions are configured at the time of sharing.
