Eclipse Not Seeing com.mysql Package

I'm trying to get through the Lynda.com tutorial on java applications.  I'm running Eclipse Luna on OSX.  I've completed  the same tutorial  successfully on Windows platform, but on the Mac, i'm getting 'package com.mysql does not exist' when trying to run a little jsp that does nothing except connect to database.  When I look in the downloaded folder, i see that package along with some other files.
How do I get past that error?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You need to add the driver jar to the project

I have it in the WEB-INF/lib as msql-connector-java-5.1.35-bin.jar.  Just looking at Project Explorer in the Windows that work and the Mac that gives the error, they are both the same.

Can you open Terminal, change to your Projects directory and post the output of the following please?
find -name '*connector*'

Sorry, not familiar with the OSX find command

Anyway, not a single found jar there (and there are masses of the driver jar) seems to be in the right place, which is in one of your project paths. You ARE using Eclipse?

Yes, it's  Eclipse Luna version.

Yes, I guess i'll have to delete the project and start from scratch.  Hate doing that and never knowing what the problem is.

Just adding it to the project should do it ;)

I agree, but still haven't figured out why.
