I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Real time imaging software will take care of that (though an offline image works best). Think of Windows own system backup, or try more advanced software from Acronis.

HP's split-mirror procedure was never intended to be used with the server running anyway; you would effectively be mirroring a crashed system if you just pulled one disk out, OS and controller cache contents wouldn't be written and the filesystem wouldn't be shut down properly.

I assumed with "disk mirror tech" he just meant "imaging" software, and not really the very extreme split mirror procedure.
