We use a GP that deploys 500+ printers using a GPP and item level targeting. This has been in-place for a long time now and works perfectly. Recently our Help Desk report that workstation are getting the warning message below for one printer listed in the GPP. The odd thing is the warning comes and goes. The printer is online, there are no DNS issues and the Windows Firewall is disabled.<br />

The user 'Printer name' preference item in the 'Network Printers{814D4E4D-0F67-47F<wbr />0-963D-92C<wbr />ED6AFB90D}<wbr />' Group Policy object did not apply because its targeting item failed with error code '0x8007203a The server is not operational.' This error was suppressed.
