iPad or iPhone cannot authenticate to Sharepoint 2007

I am in the final testing of a 2007 Moss Intranet that is now extended for extranet access. The only users who will access are internal employees so all authentication is done via AD. All works great from PCs (windows clients). I cannot however authenticate from an iPad or iPhone (iOS 8.3) using my ad credentials via the extranet using https:. I have tried just mu username, my DOMAIN\username, and my UPN, it keeps kicking me back to the credentials screen. I can successfully authenticate on the inside network using http:

Seems like an SSL issue with the iOS device, certificate is domain generated 2048.

Anyone run into this and solve it?

Seems like it is a Safari issue, Chrome works.

Much out there about Safari's failing with certs and integrated auth
I gave up on using the browser

that's why I choose the app in it place works a lot better than the browser does

Give it a try it is free for the lite version

no jail break needed

Give it a try.

This worked best for non-technical end users without having to do extra software and configuration
