Pass values between MS Access Forms

In Form #1, the user selects a district from a drop down box.  I want to open Form #2 based on the value in Form #1.  If the user selects "North East" then I want to pass that value to Form #2 and limit the records based on District = North East.

It has been awhile since I have done this and I don't remember how to do it.

Thanks!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

you open Form2 with a where condition

docmd.openform "form2",,, "[District]='" & me.comboboxName & "'"

assuming the bound column of the combo box is displaying the word for District

if the rowsource of the combo includes the id for district and the field [District] is represented by  Number, use

docmd.openform "form2",,, "[District]=" & me.comboboxName
