SO that is why I created a separate db and tried to use that. Now, I don't much about SQL DB, but do I also need to create a separate instance for SCCM reporting services?

I have SCCM 2012 R2 running on the same machine as its SQL DB. Every thing shows green.<br />
Now, the first role I am trying to configure isn't working. Not sure what I am doing wrong here. I have enabled and configured the reporting services on SQL DB. However, When I try to configure reporting role within SCCM, the only database that is available is the original database that was used from SCCM configuration. If I remove that and enter the database name from SQL reporting services, I get an error message. The db isn't verified. I have attached screenshots. SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a server-based report generation software system from Microsoft. It can prepare and deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports and is administered via a web interface or its web service. Its web services interface also supports the development of custom reporting applications. Finally, SSRS can also be integrated with SharePoint. SSRS competes with other business intelligence tools, most prominently Crystal Reports.
