I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Did you add the target servers by hostname or IP address.  You should never had to enter IP addresses, just hostnames.  When the host IP is changed and updated in DNS, BackupExec should resolve by the new IP.  You might have to flush the DNS cache by running "ipconfig /flushdns" on the BackupExec server.
