More details please ? Explain your steps, and what you have right now, and what you would like to expect. Right now it's totally not clear. Do you need files you open to be sorted in the File open dialog?

ok when i open the program i kan see my files on the first screen. how can i get them to go into alphabetical order
Do you mean when you first select an LibreOffice Writer for example and select "File", "Open"? Just right click into the area where the files are listed, select "Sort by", and make sure "Name" and "Ascending" are selected.

If you mean the general LibreOffice starter, that doesn't start a specific LibreOffice application like Writer or Calc, there you can't sort the files. You are only shown the last used files, and they are sorted by the last document used first.
