office 365 / synched by ad -set domain email as default reply

Hello,

I have office 365 for an organization which was seted up before i go for Admistrator.I noticed that in office 365 there was in all users default email reply address the onmicrosoft.com and not the domain.I tried to change it from web admin access but it inform me with a message that i canot do it because the email is controled only from the active directory.My question is where what and how i can remove the onmicrosoft.com address and set as default the domain address.

Since you are using dirsync, you need to make the changes in the local AD indeed. You can do it on O365 side as well, but any changes you make there might get overwritten by dirsync. In any case, this is the cmdlet you can use:

Set-Mailbox user@domain.onmicrosoft.com -WindowsEmailAddress user@domain.com

The cmdlet will add the user@domain.com alias, make it primary and preserve the old one. You need to connect PowerShell to EO to run it, here are the instructions in case you need them: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj984289(v=exchg.150).aspx

you can manually go into each users account in ADUC but it will take longer

in each user the account is configured in domain when i create the user but by default in office 365 the primary smtp is the onmicrosoft.com

Is the domain verified with O365 then? Try running the cmdlet for one of the users, see where it takes you.
