VB.net Excel Add-in and Office 2007/2010

I have both Office 2007 and Office 2010 installed on my machine.
I have an Excel 2007 Add-in that I still want to install on machines
with Office 2007.
When I copied the project folder it took me through a wizard
saying that it would be modified to the target version of Office
So far it seems to work in Excel 2007 and Excel 2010
I am worried that in the future it might only install on 2010

I just need a bit of guidance here

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You usually need to reference the lowest version of Office you want to support. So as long as you reference 2007, it should work.

OK great. So for Office 2007 for example I add back in references to Office 12 if they are not there?
