ruby image

Hi,
I have been doing some Ruby development using cloud9 which is all using a browser.  I wanted to get a vm going on my machine.  I have virtual box and vagrant installed.  I am new to all of this and a lot of tutorials seem kind of dated.

Can't I download an Ubuntu image someplace that is ready to go?

I've had some success using the Turnkey Linux VM appliances. They have one for Ruby-on-Rails which might meet your needs. They're based on Debian Wheezy.
