Sharepoint 2010 how to reference an image in site assets

I created a new subsite in sharepoint and i need to reference an image that is uploaded to site assets but im not sure how to do this.

below is the line of code i picked out from the page where its looking for the image on a different pc which is why its not displaying. What should I change this code to?

 <v:imagedata src="file:///C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image001.jpg"

This code is pointing to a different computer away from the sharepoint server and its the wrong location, the reason its looking here is I pasted a word document onto the new site I created and this is where the picture is located from the word document.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

nevermind resolved this one myself.
I'm pretty sure there are several ways to accomplish this but this is how I get the URL for images in any site in SharePoint and use them in MasterPages linked by URL.

1) Browse to the site assets library
2) Find the image you would like to link to
3) Right clink on the image
4) Scroll to the bottom of the options menu and choose properties
5) Capture the displayed URL
6) create an image link    EXAMPLE <img src="paste the URL you copied here" alt="add title " />
