failed drive in fujitsu primergy tx100 s3 raid
Hi Experts, we have a failed drive in our clients Fujitsu primergy tx100 s3 which has a LSI Logic Embedded mega raid controller. My question is I need to go onsite and replace the drive, I know how to rebuild the raid within the raid utility outside of the OS however I would rather use the fujitsu raid manager within windows, so that I can leave the server rebuilding. Is this possible to do, or am I going to need to sit onsite for 3 hours while it rebuilds?
Which type of RAID is used? It should rebuild itself automatically. And yes, you can initiate the rebuild via Fujitsu RAID Manager. In case it is RAID1 or RAID5.

its raid 1, do i need to do anything like add it has a hot spare in the raid utility outside of the OS, or is it literally a case of swap out the failed drive, boot into windows and hit rebuild in the raid manager?
