ebay returns
I sold an iPad on eBay and received payment but have not yet sent the iPad in the mail. I was selling this iPad because my kid wanted to use the money to buy an iPod touch. Well, he changed his mind and now does not want to sell the iPad. Can I ask the seller to accept a refund through paypal or since I have received payment am I obligated to send the iPad to them?

The buyer will probably be disappointed but as long as you contact them apologising that you cannot complete the sale I don't think anyone can force you to part with your item.
It may have been discovered broken when you went to wrap it and that would have the same result.
You are not being dishonest, it was a genuine sale and your circumstances changed.
Contact the buyer, explain and apologise and refund them.
