I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

If you have the product key then Microsoft can provide you with the ISO required, using this you can burn to a disk/USB and then re-install the OS. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

The other way would be to get the ISO from Techverse. I have used both ways successfully in the past.

oh man, im already been there and dont allow me because says is a pre instaled machine
help!!!

You are better off with the correct media because of the many drivers to install. Have you asked Dell if you can purchase the media. I get Lenovo media this way with no difficulty.

Depending on your machine make and model you should be able to buy and maybe download the oem media online.

Whats is the make and model of your machine?

Do not be cheap!

If you failed to get or make the recovery media at the beginning and now Windows 7 is past its best before date and on life support, you will have to pay.

I am sure Dell will supply the media.
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
Also, this is a professional forum, so please do not hint at pirated media. You have to pay Dell, or for licensed software.
REITCommented:
Can you supply the machine information atleast?

Here you can get the Windows 7 ISOs from here http://getintopc.com/softwares/operating-systems/windows-7-home-premium-free-download-iso-32-bit-64-bit/

You should have the product key to activate Windows 7 once installed. Then you will need to manually download and install the drivers.

Failing the above I agree with John you would need to pay Dell to send you the OEM install media for your machine, this has major benefits apart from Dells bloatware but this can normally be removed/uninstalled.

im dont ask for a piracy media
is not fair to pay for some that they might provide since the beginning
REITCommented:
Well i've given you the download link to the windows 7 iso but regardless you will need to license this yourself by entering a product key or even purchasing a product key.

We're not allowed to provide keys or cracked versions of Operating systems as its against many Microsoft and EE policies.
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
It is your responsibility to get the media at the beginning, not Dell's. You may wish to consider this issue when purchasing your next computer. Windows 7 is on the way out, so no one is interested in supporting it much.
ErnestoAuthor Commented:
i have my key, thats not the problem,

I've given you the link to the media and you can get the drivers from the dell website? What else do you want from us? As far as I'm concerned I've provided you with solution required.
ErnestoAuthor Commented:
Yes you aré Man

you said your hard disk failed - but does it still boot?  in safe mode maybe?
