Updating Lotus Notes workspace icons with new server

We're looking at moving some of our sites to new domino servers that conform to our naming standards.
It's time consuming to ask all users to right click/ replication / find replica on every database.

I have found you can open the desktop8.ndk file in notepad and do a manual find and replace on the full name, but again this means that IT must access each users PC individually (there are hundreds).

Does anybody have a better process for doing this?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You could use the procedure that uses Notes Redirection Files, see http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21094781
