Sharepoint Foundation Question

We are re-designing our company intranet using Sharepoint 2013 Foundation.

I am learning very late in this process that the ability to perform searches on lists and libraries does not exist in Foundation and I am somewhat panicked as we have many many of them and the 'site search' , which does exist in Foundation, doesnt cut it.

Can anyone offer some advice on this, could the ability to search withing a specific list or library only be something that maybe a Sharepoint App could do?

Thanks!

It would have been better if you had foundation 2010. If that was the case, you could have downloaded and installed Search server express 2010 on your SharePoint foundation application server and run psconfig wizard.
Configure it as you prefer. That's the ultimate solution to enhance your search feature in foundation. I am not sure if there is Search express edition for 2013. Do research and let me know if there is a setup available for it.
