Exchange 2013 database context index failed

Hi Experts,

I have a customer who recently tried to apply Exchange 2013 SP1 CU7 with no luck, and had to stop the process. After that, server01 shows all dbs on failed state. please see logs below

I am thinking on restarting the Microsoft Exchange replication service on this box, and manually reseed all passive db copies, but wanted to verify with you in case of rebuilding the index catalog, or perhaps something else

ContentIndexState                     : Failed
ContentIndexErrorMessage              : An internal error occurred for the database or its index.

IncomingLogCopyingNetwork             : {server02,ReplicationDagNetwork01,An error occurred while communicating
                                        with server 'server02'. Error: Unable to write data to the transport
                                        connection: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host
                                        machine.}

btw, we do have one DAG, 6 MBX servers, 20 DBs, all Exchange 2013 SP1

I faced something similar and this is what I did to fix it.

1) Ran below command
Update-MailboxDatabaseCopy "db1\server1" -CatalogOnly

If not fixed, goto below step

2) Goto DB path, delete all files and update it by deleting and recreating fresh copy again.

Try it on one db first, preferable smaller one. If still no luck, we might need to use network monitor tool and check other stuff to trace the issue.

no luck with the update of the catalog

what files do you want me to delete? please provide exact path

Should I suspend the replication, and reseed the db again?

I am referring to database files. edb and log files. Where your database resides. So, if DB1 is stored at this path

e:\dbfolder\db1

Under db1 remove everything and start update fresh copy.
