Child Domain is missing from AD Users & Computers

AD with 3 child domains
Can see all the child domains in Domains & Trusts.  Can see all the child domains in Sites & Services.  In Active Directory Users & Computers only see 2 of the child domains - seattle & chicago.  LA is not listed.

Also, I see the servers inside their appropriate child domain in Sites & Services, but don't see any of the servers for the child  domains in Active Directory Users & Computers.

DNS works - no problems - - can find all servers.  Users can login, but I'm afraid I'm seeing something that could be a problem in the making.

I've inherited this network so I don't have history on setup.  Can someone enlighten me as to if I have a problem in the making or not?

Typically if you are dealing with multiple domains or forests and you want to manage them all at once you would use ADAC (AD Administration Center).

Also, if you use ADUC can you connect to the DC's for the LA child domain? If replication is working and users are having no issues logging in, then you are probably fine and this is just a client configuration for your views.

Thank you so much for the quick responses on this question.  I've spent a couple of days looking at both of these responses and using ADAC and then adding ADUC to mmc.  No problems with our domains as both of you suspected.  Problem was with the person sitting in the chair and my lack of knowledge on how Microsoft AD handles child domains.  My background (and now I'm telling my age) has been Novell and partitioning the tree, etc....  Now I understand better how AD handles these.  Thanks again for your quick responses!  As always EE is the place for answers!
