What is the role of "RedirectMatch"

I see following in my httpd.conf

RewriteEngine On
RedirectMatch 301 ^/$ /apps/dashboard

Instead of above if I put below config then does it make any difference?
RewriteEngine On
RedirectRule 301 ^/$ /apps/dashboard [R=302,L]

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

difference is that the RedirectRule will not wrok since it does not exist :). But i guess that you meant RewriteRule and if that is the case it will do the same thing.
