"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There's a couple of ways you can do it.

You can use the Export Wizard (right click on the Database, Tasks, Export Data if memory serves), select the database as input source and an Excel File as output.

Alternatively, you can run the query in SSMS, and right click the grid output to save as CSV and import into Excel.

I don't believe there's a real automated way to do it (unless you set up an SSIS package to do it, which is pretty much really all the Wizard above is doing for you.
