I have just migrated a print server from Server 2003 to server 2012 with about 50ish printers attached to the new print server. All users are able to print. The issue is: Some users are reporting delays in printing by 10 seconds or so. The initial response after clicking print is, &quot;Not responding&quot; after a few seconds the print job goes to the printer. I have copied the same drivers and print settings from the 2003 server to the 2012 server, so I am not sure why there is this delay running print jobs.<br />

Windows Server 2012 is the server version of Windows 8 and the successor to Windows Server 2008 R2. Windows Server 2012 is the first version of Windows Server to have no support for Itanium-based computers since Windows NT 4.0. Windows Server 2012, now in its second release (Windows Server 2012 Release 2) includes Foundation, Essentials, Standard and Datacenter, and does not support IA-32 or IA-64 processors.

A printer is a peripheral which makes a persistent human readable representation of graphics or text on paper or similar physical media. Traditional printers are being used more for special purposes, like printing photographs or artwork, and are no longer a must-have peripheral; 3D printing has become an area of intense interest, allowing the creation of physical objects.
