I'm not sure what you mean by a "Calendar tab", but if you mean a calendar that shows a month and allows you to pick a date from it, here are the steps for Word 2013:

(1) Click the Customize QAT drop-down and then click More Commands...:

Customize QAT
(2) Click the Choose commands from: drop-down and select All Commands:

All Commands
(3) Scroll down to the Date Picker Content Control item, select it, click the Add > > button, and OK:

Add Date Picker
That will put it on the QAT.

(4) Now click it on the QAT and Word 2013 will give you this:

Calendar date picker
Navigate to whatever date you want and Word will enter it into the document. Regards, Joe

Oops: I just noticed that you said Ribbon, not QAT. The steps are similar. Click File>Options>Customize Ribbon. Pick All Commands in the drop-down and find Date Picker Content Control (unlike the QAT, you'll need to create a new group for it):

Add Date Picker to Ribbon
That will put it on the Ribbon instead of the QAT. Regards, Joe
