IIS6, ASP, 500 Internal Server Error

Hi All, hope someone out there can help me. I have been given a Website to host for a client that is ASP. I have created the website and copied in to a directory under Inetpub but receive error 500 Internal Server Error. I have tried with a default.hm and works fine. I have tried the options in Internet Explorer to stop showing friendly hits error msgs but no change. I get this error on the server and external. I have ASP Installed.

Help please.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I should also mention that I renamed the web.config and let the server create a new one.

for IIS6, you'll want to send the errors to the client, follow the steps in the tutorial to achieve that

Hi, thanks for the Info, that has worked but I am now getting the below :-

ADODB.Connection error '800a0e7a'

Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.

/inx/conn.asp, line 20

I presume this will have something to do with the code in the asp file ?

Yes the message is saying essentially the database driver cannot be found on the server
