add colored shadow in AI CS5

I have this logo. Client likes it, but he wants the blue shadow on the text to be darker blue. If I change the color, it looks more gray than blue.  Is there a way to create the same look, but make the shadow on the text more strikingly blue?

Unfortunately, it won't let me upload an eps, so I'm uploading the jpg for now.  Is there a way to upload the eps? Thanks in advance.jpg.

Are you using Drop Shadow or blurring a copy of the letters?
Are you working in RGB or CMYK color space?

For the eps part: Just change the extension .eps manually to .jpg and upload and tell that you have changed the extension.

Is there a way to upload the eps? on EE no, There is free Drop box most of use use other sites to upload specific types of files EE doesn't support.
https://www.dropbox.com/home

But I tinkered with your image
Using my paintshop pro, you can do the same with the same tools in Photoshop,
I just dropped on your image then using the magic wand selected a letter then in the 3D effects selected drop shadow then choose the colour, I selected the darker aspect of the world then applied a new drop shadow aligning it over your previous.
Hows this?
Magic wand selection toolAdd drop shadow once letter is selected
Add drop shadow once selectedchange the colour with colour dropperalign the new drop shadow over the olddeselect each letter then select the nect continue till end takes around 5 minutes.

Damn, I hate it when I accept an answer and then want to retract it. I really want to be able to do this with the eps. I'll upload it via dropbox, is that ok, or would you rather I open a new question?

mel200 forgive me but I cant do anything with this eps as in edit the drop shadow as I don't have Adobe Illustrator,
but the steps are similar

Another good tool often over looked is MS word and MS powerpoint. But again they will not support the Adobe format eps.
Does that still help you :)

PS, no need to open a new question/ glad you liked the results
cheers

Ok... I have a drop shadow, that's not the problem. The issue I have is that I can't make the shadow a bright enough blue, because of course shadows aren't bright, they're dark.

So I need a way around the plain shadow effect on AI. Maybe I do need to ask a new question. :)

If I do it your way, on the png, then if I make a change in the eps, I have to make the change in the png again.

Thanks.

If you want just ask the mods to re-open this and request extra help, in your first comment request assistance,
No sense in my helping you with different tools.. besides I'd like to see you happy with a solution with AI :)
PNG EPS. Dont you work with main png?
Use your swatches and customise the colour depth.
I find once I highlight that object on that layer then I can do just about anything with it..
This one shows you how to multiply the transparency.
