Create user and mailbox at once on Server 2012 R2 with Full exchange 2013
Hi,
we are upgrading to a new server from SBS 2003 to Server 2012 R2 and full exchange 2013.
Is there anyway of creating a mailbox for a user at the same time as creating the user? similar to how small business server does it.
I would also like to know how to change the default naming convention for when making mailboxes. For example I would like all emails to be UserFirstnameUserSecondNam e@domain.c om
THanks in advance

This solution is only available to members.
To access this solution, you must be a member of Experts Exchange.
You start from the Exchange 2013 side, not from the AD Users and Computers side. Refer to this article:
http://www.elmajdal.net/ExchangeServer/How_To_Create_a_New_User_Mailbox_in_Exchange_Server_2013.aspx
Note that in Step 3, to create a new user in AD, click the "New user" radio button and then proceed to put in the info for the user's AD account.

If you are simply building a greenfield deployment of Exchange 2013, you can export the mailboxes to PST and then import them directly in to your new Exchange 2013 environment.

Could you clarify - is there any way of me creating a user in active directory and it simultaneously creating a mailbox in exchange admin centre without me having to manually do it?
