this copy of microsoft office is designed for corporate or institutional customers

I installed Microsoft Office on an employee's personal laptop using our customer license. I have a valid license for him and everything is legit but he is getting an error message when he opens office that product activation failed.

The version you've installed requires activation by connection to a key server on your corporate network and will need to connect to that server every 180 days to remain activated. Like the error message says it's not designed for installation on a personal machine.
