Windows Recovery for HP Zbook

I have a HP Zbook 17 whose windows boot record was corrupted.   I am trying to use the windows recovery console but the operating system isn't listed.   There are not any Hard disk drivers on my recovery driver CD and after talking to hp support they said that it does not use drivers, that the disk is spun up from the bios.  I really don't want to wipe the drive and start over.    Any suggestions will be helpful.

FYI the drive was encrypted and I have the recovery key.

Any suggestions would be helpful.  It will take me days to reconfigure this laptop.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you have a windows 7 cd?

We do have the windows CD.  However since the drive is encrypted the C: partition is only showing a small drive.  D:  looks like it is empty,  When you click on the drive it tells you to format it.  I took it out of the computer and tried to slave it to a second computer and it was still not accessible.  I believe it is because the encryption.
Can you try booting from the cd.
 Select keyboard  etc.

You will now click on repair my computer. Do not click install now.

A new window will pop up. Now click on Startup Repair.

Post results.

Since the drive was encrypted my only alternative was to use the bios recovery and loose all my data.   On a different HP model, I was able to use a disk to repair the MBR but not on this zbook.
