On one computer, try replacing the driver: Uninstall the printer, remove the driver from the Printer Server Management, Drivers tab. Restart the computer. Install the printer again and see if it fixes the issue. <br />

If not, the printer may need service because if you cannot make a driver work, there is likely a hardware fault.

If you set the printer (from its front panel or web interface) to default to tray 2, will it then print internal test pages (e.g. config page) from that tray?<br />

If it doesn't, then the printer is faulty. If it does, then the problem is elsewhere.

I sifted through the logs and found that one computer was trying to randomly print in RA4 size. After re-imaging the computer the problem went away.

HP Laserjet 600 M601 printer has suddenly stopped printing from tray 2. To get it to print, we must use tray 1. Nothing has changed in the settings or applications. This printer was working fine for the last year. It does this intermittently. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
