Field size in report

I have a field in a report that pulls data that could be multiple paragraphs long or it can be as short as a few words. Currently it is growing to the length to fit the entire entry.

How can I limit the grows to be around 5 lines?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What reporting tool are you using?

I know Crystal Reports has a setting in the formatting for maximum number of lines.  I don't know about SSRS.

If there is no max lines setting then a calculation like above would be an easy way to do it.

Do you need the entire text available?

Thank!... I am using a report in Microoft Access. I can't find the "trim" in the format section. Currently I have it "Can Grow- Yes"

Is there a way to limit the growth?

Just any way to limit the growth is fine... if its Characters, inches, or anything. Just a way to say... "don't grow bigger than this."
